Personal Injury Users Group meeting

The Personal Injury Users Group met on 27 January 2025 in Parliament House, Edinburgh.

The Group provides a forum for consultation, discussion and feedback between judges, clerks and practitioners involved in the conduct of personal injury business in the Court of Session.

The Group welcomed Lady Haldane, who was to take over from Lord Weir as chair, at the end of the meeting. The Group received an update from the SCJC secretariat on its personal injury workstreams. It was agreed that a working group of practitioners would reconvene to discuss feedback on Chapter 42A. The Group had a further discussion about the targeted average length of PI proceedings.
