Decade of the Sheriff Appeal Court Feedback Forum

To mark ten years since the establishment of the Sheriff Appeal Court, a special Feedback Forum is to be held on Wednesday 14 May to hear directly from those who use the court.

Attendance is welcomed from advocates, solicitor advocates, solicitors, and others with experience of the appeals process, both criminal and civil.

Hosted by Sheriff Principal Anwar, President of the Sheriff Appeal Court, and attended by a number of other Sheriffs Principal, this event will provide court users with the opportunity to reflect on their experiences and share constructive feedback directly with the Sheriffs Principal.

The Forum aims to encourage an open dialogue between the judiciary and legal professionals in the functioning of the court. Insights gathered from attendees will help inform future developments and enhance the experience of those engaging with the appeal system.

The Forum is being held in conjunction with Strathclyde Law School, who will host the event at 199 Cathedral Street, Glasgow.   The event will take place from 5.15pm and run through until 6.30pm with a drinks reception thereafter.
