Arrangements during the period of mourning and day of the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

Arrangements and events following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II have now been confirmed in Scotland and more widely.

Arrangements for our courts and tribunals on Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 September have been published previously and outside those arrangements all courts and tribunals business will continue during the period of mourning until the day of the funeral.

Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral will take place on Monday 19 September. This has been announced as a bank holiday and no courts or tribunals will sit on that day. All SCTS buildings will be closed. Arrangements are being made for all sheriffdoms to hold custody courts on Saturday 17 September.
