Inner House Users Group meeting

The Inner House Users Group met on 30 October 2025 in Parliament House, Edinburgh.

The Group provides a forum for consultation, discussion and feedback between Inner House judges, Inner House clerks, practitioners and other legal professionals involved in the conduct of business in the Inner House of the Court of Session. The Group is chaired by Lord Clark.

At the meeting, the Group discussed livestreaming of cases, noting in particular that it has now been extended to include criminal appeal cases. The use of AI and its rapid development was also discussed. Members agreed that AI should be added as a standing item to the Group’s agenda.
