Fees Orders

The information contained on the Court Fees pages is currently being updated to reflect these new fees including the provision of a new fee exemption form to be used from 1 July 2022.

Schedule 1 of each of the Scottish Government’s Fees Orders for the Court of Session, High Court of Justiciary, Sheriff Appeal Court, Sheriff and Justice of the Peace (JP) Courts and the Office of Public Guardian (Scotland) take effect from Friday 1 July 2022. Thereafter, Schedules 2 and 3 of each order take effect from 1 April 2023 and 1 April 2024 respectively.

In the meantime, the new fees payable from 1 July 2022 can be accessed at the following links:

Please note that the Sheriff Court Fees Amendment Order 2022 was laid in the Scottish Parliament on 21 June 2022 and also comes into force on 1 July 2022 and corrects errors contained in the Sheriff Court Fees Order 2022.
