High Court Fees

The list below shows the fees that are charged for applications and stages of procedure in the High Court of Justiciary. If you require further information, you should contact the High Court.

High Court Fees

  • Petitions to the Nobile Officium and applications for criminal letters

    Fee payable from 1st April 2013:

    £98.00

    (Inclusive fee covering all steps in procedure.)

  • Extract convictions, per sheet or part thereof.

    Fee payable from 1st April 2013:

    £38.00

  • Certified copy of any other document.

    Fee payable from 1st April 2013:

    £16.00

  • Copying - of each document up to 10 pages.

    Fee payable from 1st April 2013:

    £5.00

  • Copying - each document in electronic form.

    Fee payable from 1st April 2013:

    £5.00

  • Copying - each further page or part thereof.

    Fee payable from 1st April 2013:

    £0.50

    (each extra page in excess of 10 pages)

  • Searches - for any search of records or archives -

    Fee payable from 1st April 2013:

    (a) up to 30 minutes - £16.00

    (b) for more than 30minutes up to 2 hours - £38.00

    (c) each additional 30minutes (in excess of 2 hours) - £11.00

    (d) In addition, correspondence fee where applicable - £11.00

Cheques - Made payable to "The Scottish Court Service"

  • Debit Card & Credit Card - Please check which types of card are acceptable with the appropriate court

  • Postal Order - Made payable to "The Scottish Court Service"

  • Cash - If paying by post it is not advisable to make cash payments
