Throughout the pandemic, SCTS has taken a cautious approach and the safety of everyone using our buildings remains our top priority.

The Act of Sederunt (Rules of the Court of Session 1994 Amendment) (Miscellaneous) (No.2) 2021was made by the Court of Session on Wednesday 24 November 2021 and laid before the Scottish Parliament on Friday 26 November 2021. It will come in to force on 01 January 2022.

The Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service has published today the latest monthly workbook to show the throughput of criminal cases in our courts.

The latest Quarterly Fines Report 50 is published today by the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service and shows continuing progress in recovery of fines collection rates from the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic.

We will maintain the current safety measures until the end of January 2022, when a further review will be carried out, taking into account the public health advice at that point.
