This week the First Minister provided an update to the Scottish Parliament on the country’s progress in tackling COVID-19. In particular she provided an update on what is known about the Omicron variant and the steps being taken to respond.

The Act of Sederunt (Summary Applications, Statutory Applications and Appeals etc. Rules 1999 and Sheriff Appeal Court Rules Amendment) (Age of Criminal Responsibility (Scotland) Act 2019) 2021 was made by the Court of Session on Thursday 02 December 2021 and laid before the Scottish Parliament on Friday 03 December 2021. It will come into force on Friday 17 December 2021.

All Scottish Courts and Tribunals will be closed on Monday 6 December for the St Andrew’s Day bank holiday.
