As COVID restrictions have eased and the rates of infection reduced substantially, the Scottish Courts and Tribunal Service will shortly begin to decommission the majority of Remote Jury Centres, where juries were accommodated at cinema venues.

Given the current position, we are now able to move to a position where the wearing of face coverings will continue to be strongly recommended, in line with Scottish Government guidance, but will no longer be mandatory. This change will take effect across all SCTS premises from Monday 23 May.

The latest Quarterly Fines Report 52 is published today by the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service and shows continuing progress in recovery of fines collection rates from the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic.
