Covid-19: Keeping each other safe

Aug 30, 2021

We are continuing to see increases in the positive case numbers reported in the Scottish Government figures on Covid-19. This is a stark reminder to us all that, although Scotland has now moved beyond ‘Level 0’, everyone should continue to act carefully, remain cautious and do all that we can to keep ourselves, our colleagues and our workplace as safe as possible.

Inevitably, as positive cases rise in wider society, so too does the potential impact on our work. Throughout the pandemic we have taken a safety-first approach to our business. We continue to have some of the most robust measures in place across our buildings to maintain both safety and the throughput of business. We are maintaining enhanced cleaning, ventilation and contact tracing processes. We are asking everyone who visits or works in our buildings to maintain 1-metre physical distancing, wear a face covering and maintain good hand hygiene.

In addition, we would like to remind everyone to follow the Scottish Government’s wider advice:

The regular use of lateral flow tests is a fairly new responsibility for us all, but is one of the key ways we can now support the wider effort to fight the virus. The test kits are free to obtain and easily accessed through the following routes:

Everyone in Scotland is being asked to do this type of test twice a week, even if you are feeling well. If you have any concerns about how you are feeling, such as minor cold symptoms, we would encourage you take a lateral flow test before attending our premises, just to reassure yourself and others. If you feel genuinely unwell, be that with Covid-related or other symptoms, you should not come to our premises.

Regular testing helps find positive cases in people who have no symptoms and who need to self-isolate to help break the chain of transmission. If you do test positive using a lateral flow test, you should self-isolate immediately and book a PCR test.

Although restrictions have been reduced recently, the virus has not gone away.

Thank you for all your continued help and support in keeping our buildings safe for everyone.
