SCTS courts closed on 31 May

The following Scottish Courts and Tribunals buildings are closed for a public holiday on Monday 31 May:

Paisley

Stranraer
Supreme Courts Glasgow
Tribunals Glasgow

The custody arrangements in place for these courts are:

Glasgow and Strathkelvin

  • Glasgow 

North Strathclyde

  • Dumbarton (custody business from Dumbarton, Campbeltown and Oban)
  • Greenock (custody business from Greenock, Dunoon and Lochgilphead)
  • Kilmarnock
  • Paisley

Tayside, Central and Fife

  • Dundee (custody business from Dundee, Forfar and Perth) 

 South Strathclyde, Dumfries and Galloway

  • Dumfries (custody business from Dumfries, Ayr and Stranraer) 
  • Hamilton (custody business from Hamilton, Airdrie and Lanark)


The following courts are not affected by this public holiday and are open for business as per the current operating arrangements:

Lothian and Borders

  • Edinburgh
  • Livingston

Tayside, Central and Fife

  • Falkirk (custody business from Falkirk, Alloa and Stirling)
  • Kirkcaldy (custody business from Kirkcaldy and Dunfermline)

Grampian, Highland and Islands

  • Inverness (custody business from Inverness, Elgin/Kirkwall/Fort William/Tain/Portree and Lochmaddy/Stornoway/Wick)
  • Aberdeen (custody business from Aberdeen, Banff & Peterhead)
  • Lerwick

Fines can still be paid online on the SCTS website.

Due to the ongoing situation with the coronavirus pandemic, access to court buildings is not available for members of the public.
