Following today's announcement that there is to be a local lockdown in the City of Aberdeen local authority area as a result of increasing Covid-19 cases, the SCTS confirms that, as far as is possible, the court in Aberdeen will continue to operate for business.
We recognise there will be some impact on individuals who are subject to restrictions and quarantine as a result of lockdown arrangements, but it is our intention, within the guidance issued, to operate with scheduled business.
Please see the guidance issued by Scottish Government on the lockdown arrangements.
At this stage, anyone attending Aberdeen Sheriff Court must follow the Scottish Government guidance and the specific guidance for physical distancing and hygiene measures set out by SCTS.
Please advise staff at Aberdeen at the earliest opportunity if you are required at court and unable to attend because of the restrictions in place.
