Civil Service recruitment
The law requires that selection for appointment to the Civil Service is on merit on the basis of fair and open competition as outlined in the Civil Service Commission's recruitment principles.
The Civil Service Code sets out the standards of behaviour expected of civil servants.
SCTS are committed to making our recruitment process as accessible as possible and welcome applications from to those with disabilities and long term health conditions. All candidates who consider themselves to be disabled in terms of the Equality Act 2010, and who meet the minimum pass mark for all essential criteria examples, we will invite to interview, even if other candidates score higher. The interviews themselves will then all be marked equally.
