The Race Equality Scheme

The Scottish Court Service has a duty placed on it to eliminate unlawful discrimination and to pro mote equality of opportunity in relation to race, and as a result has published the Race Equality Scheme.

The Race Equality Scheme and progress against the outcomes are available:

Upcoming legislation means that we must publish schemes in relation to Gender (by April 07) and Disability (by Dec 06) and we hope to combine the Duties to form one scheme, addressing the specific requirements of each Duty.
