  • If you have any comments or suggestions regarding the services provdied by the Scottish Court Service or this web site then please send to enquiries@scotcourts.gov.uk
  • If you have a complaint regarding a member of the Scottish Court Service staff please follow our complaints procedure.
  • If you have a complaint about the service provided or expenses paid to you in your role as a juror please these should be addressed to the Court Manager where jury service was undertaken. Contact details of all court in Scotland can be found on our website at the Court Locations page.
  • Decisions made by members of the Judiciary in exercise of their duties are only subject to review by the Appeal Courts and the Scottish Ministers, Scottish Government or the Scottish Court Service cannot intervene in individual cases.
  • Complaints about the conduct of individual judges or sheriffs should be addressed to:

  • Not Satisfied with our reply ?

    If you are unhappy with the initial response to your complaint, or even if you would just like more information, you can write to the Principal Clerk of Session and Justiciary if your complaint relates to a matter in the Supreme Courts (Court of session or High Court of Justiciary), or to the Sheriffdom Business manager if your complaint relates to a matter in the Sheriff Court.

    You will find their names and addresses on notices in the office's public areas. Or you can phone and ask for this information from any of our staff.

    You should provide the same information as you did when you first complained, and provide copies of all correspondence that you have sent or received. You should also explain why you are not happy with the local manager's response. The Principal Clerk of Session and Justiciary, or Sheriffdom Business Manager, will review your complaint and send you a reply within 20 working days.
