DETERMINATION by RITA EMILIA ANNA RAE, Queen's Counsel, Sheriff of the Sheriffdom of Glasgow and Strathkelvin following an Inquiry held at Glasgow on the TWENTY-FIRST day of February Two Thousand and six into the death of JAMES URE, aged 58.

The Sheriff, having considered all the evidence adduced, DETERMINES: In terms of the Fatal Accidents and Sudden Deaths Inquiry (Scotland) Act 1976 Section 6(1)

 

(a) That James Ure, born on 16 February 1948, died on the early morning of 25 July 2005 at HM Prison Barlinnie while within cell 1/32 of A Hall

(b) The cause of death was sudden death in epilepsy
