The Accountant of Court

Foreword

The Accountant of Court is an officer of the Court of Session among whose functions is the responsibility for supervising the actions of Curators bonis and other judicial factors appointed by the Scottish Courts.

This booklet has been prepared by The Accountant for the information of relatives of persons to whom a Curator bonis has been appointed. The booklet attempts to answer the most common questions regarding the nature of the Curatory and the duties of the Curator, it is not a detailed statement of law nor is it intended to be comprehensive.

Further information may be obtained from the Curator or from the Accountant (see also Chapter 6).
