The Chancellor's Pre-Budget report announced new transparency and accountability measures for public sector bodies subject to Ministerial control . As such, the Scottish Court Service is required to publish on its website the salary, including benefits in kind, of named individuals paid £150,000 or above, to the nearest £5,000 and the number of staff paid £50,000 or above in £5,000 increments.

The information below relates to the financial year 2008-2009. There are no individuals earning more than £150,000 per annum.

The Government has a clear commitment to greater transparency of public information. The government believes that the public has a right to know how Government spends tax payers' money. It is only with this information that the public can hold the Government to account for its use of public funds.

As a result, the Scottish Court Service, and other Government departments, have been asked to publish the following details on our Senior Civil Servants. This information relates to salaries as at 30/06/2010.
