In January 2001, the Scottish Government published the Scottish Strategy for Victims.
The Scottish Court Sevice has published an Action Plan setting out its commitment to supporting those victims of crime whose cases are dealt with in the High Court of Justiciary, Court of Session or Sheriff Courts. It also sets out how the principles of the Scottish Strategy for Victims will be achieved insofar as they relate to the remit of the Scottish Court Service.

The Victims of Crime in Scotland web site provides further information for victims, including guidance on reporting crime, seeking support, sentencing, and a section on the Scottish Government's commitment to victims and the actions the Executive are taking to meet this.
