Arbroath
The Sheriff Clerks from Arbroath and Forfar visited the District Court offices on 25 June to discuss the records storage requirements.

Forfar
The Sheriff Clerks from Arbroath and Forfar visited the District Court in May, July and August. Work shadowing is planned for the end of October.

Dundee
As part of the SCS learning at work week, District Court staff joined SCS staff at a Polish awareness presentation in the Sheriff Court on 29 April.

In April and May, meetings took place between senior staff at the Sheriff and District Courts to discuss arrangements for both offices in the lead up to and after unification.

Ongong meetings between the two heads of department from Dundee Sheriff Court and the District Court Supervisor are taking place. These meetings have allowed managers to gain an insight into the work carried out in both courts and to discuss arrangements for both offices in the lead up to and after unification.

On 13 May the supervisor from the District Court work shadowed at the Sheriff Court and was shown how fines are dealt with and how court work is processed using the SCS COPII IT system.

On 21 May District Court staff attended a sushi presentation and a roadshow event by the SCS resource centre. Both these events were organised as part of the learning at work week. Following the Coping with Change workshops on 26 September, some Sheriff Court staff visited the District Court.

Perth
The administrative officer from the District Court attended a training event in Perth Sheriff Court on 13 May. The training covered the SCS skills assessment tool, an IT application which helps staff identify their skills and knowledge and tailor learning to their needs and current role. Visits to the Sheriff Court by District Court staff took place in August.

Stirling
In Stirling secondments are already in place from the Sheriff Court to the District Court . An SCS staff member is presently on a three month secondment and this has been extended until unification. District Court staff have been invited to attend the Sheriff Court staff meeting. District Court staff have also been invited to a retirement presentation taking place at the end of October.

Falkirk
The Sheriff Clerk in Falkirk met with the Services Manager of Falkirk Council and they have agreed principles for any future secondments. Discussions have also taken place regarding staff training and records storage requirements.

Fife
In April District Court staff based at Fife Council headquarters in Glenrothes visited Kirkcaldy and Dunfermline Sheriff Courts where they toured the buildings and met the court staff. District Court staff visited Cupar Sheriff Court on 1 July 2008.
