The
Judicial Appointments Board for Scotland invites applications from suitably qualified individuals who wish to be considered for appointment to the office of Senator of the College of Justice by March 2017.
The Judicial Office for Scotland has informed the Board that there is currently one position available, and that a further vacancy may arise. If any further vacancies arise for this judicial office whilst this exercise is in progress, it is our intention to make our recommendations to the First Minister from the outcome of this exercise. The Office of Senator Role Profile, provided by the Judicial Office for Scotland, provides applicants with information about the role. Selection is made solely on merit.
The Board encourages and welcomes applications from the widest possible range of eligible individuals. The Board would particularly welcome applications from under-represented groups.

Completed online applications should be submitted no later than midday on Thursday 27th October. On present plans, interviews will take place between Monday 9th and Wednesday 11th January 2017, at the Board’s offices in Edinburgh.
