Topics
In order to further develop the Court’s engagement with practitioners and other commercial court users, a seminar has been arranged on the above date to discuss a number of matters relating to commercial law and procedure in the Court of Session.
The topics will include (a) Encouraging Settlement, (b) the Use of Abbreviated Pleadings, (c) the Paperless Court, (d) Witness Statements and Affidavits, and (e) the Construction of Contracts.
Invitation
The commercial court judges will all participate in the seminar, together with several invited speakers. We extend an invitation to all commercial court practitioners and others with an interest in commercial law to register their interest in attending the seminar by sending an email to the commercial court clerks at commercialseminar@scotcourts.gov.uk by no later than 4pm on Friday 15 May 2015.
Confirmation of attendance will be received from the commercial clerks by Friday 29 May 2015.
