The Report of the Civil Courts Review chaired by the Rt Hon Lord Gill is a document of considerable importance. It identifies a number of structural and other weaknesses currently affecting the civil courts in Scotland, and makes recommendations designed to address those weaknesses. If implemented, the report’s recommendations will shape civil justice in Scotland for the foreseeable future.
